C/SIS Women of the ELCA 2023 Fall Gathering

Thanks to Zion Lutheran Church at Mt Olive for hosting a wonderful Fall Gathering with 49 ladies. Women attended from towns like New Douglas, Champaign, Peoria, Jacksonville, Centralia, and Springfield. We had delicious food for breakfast and lunch. Our worship and singing was led by Pastor Janet Lepp. “Mother Jones” the famous labor activist Mary Harris Jones was portrayed by a fiery Loretta Williams, and we went to see the Union Miner’s Cemetery where she was buried. Nancy Hubert gave a tour of the Mt. Olive Care Center which is a Food Pantry. Pat Caley had a Fair Trade Market with great items. Thanks to the C/SIS Board for this great Gathering and opportunity for fellowship!
